Able Ministry

ABLE Ministry

ABLE is Ridgewood’s class for adults with a learning disability. The goal for ABLE participants is to learn about God and His perfect plan for them. At the ABLE class, they learn that they are Accepted, Blessed, Loved, and Embraced. We provide program material that respects the dignity and life experience of adults with cognitive disabilities and provides them with Christian education appropriate for their age group.

We encourage ABLE participants to participate in the church body because they are valued, wanted and needed. If you would like to participate in serving the ABLE Ministry or know of someone who would like to join the Sunday morning class, please contact Judy Clark by clicking the button below.

God said in the parable of the Great Banquet in Luke 14: 12, “He said also to the man who had invited him, “when you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just...”

Fridays with Friends

“Fridays with Friends” is a fun, social event for adults with disabilities. We meet the second Friday of each month from 6-8pm in the gym at Ridgewood Church.

It will be a fun time providing, hope, encouragement and love by having an evening of fun games, music and relationship. We encourage that participants register for each event.

If you have a passion for this ministry, we would love to speak with you about serving at these events. Contact Judy Clark to learn more.

We want to include everyone as we desire to live out our mission of Making Jesus Known Through Community Impact!
